Fountain Nozzles

Every effect in the show is a nozzle decision. The nozzle family turns pump pressure into the vocabulary of the fountain — fans, crowns, laminar arcs, jumping segments and feature jets.

On this pageNozzles are chosen per effect zone: pattern, reach and water behaviour first, hardware second.

Fountain Nozzles for Every Spray Pattern in the Show

A nozzle catalogue is really an effects catalogue. The fan nozzle lays a sheet of water that catches light like a curtain; the crown and foam jets build the white, aerated textures that read at distance; laminar nozzles throw a glass-smooth arc you can almost touch; jumping jets cut that arc into segments that hop across a basin. Aqualume manufactures its nozzle range in-house — including the variable-pattern nozzles and moving jets used across its musical and dancing systems — in stainless steel grades matched to the project water.

Selection starts from the effect zones in the design, not from a parts list. Each zone's pattern, height and water behaviour are set against basin size, pump duty and audience distance, and the nozzles are specified to deliver exactly that. It is why nozzle supply is quoted inside the system design whenever the fountain itself is an Aqualume project — and why equipment-only buyers are asked for their effect plan before a nozzle schedule is proposed.

Pattern, Pressure and the Space Between Jets

Three variables decide whether a nozzle performs as drawn: the pattern it throws, the pressure and flow it needs, and its spacing against neighbouring jets. Crowd the field and patterns collide into spray; stretch it and the choreography thins. Wind is the fourth variable outdoors — fine, high patterns drift first, which is why exposed sites weight their design toward lower, heavier water.

These are design-stage calculations, proven in the 3D simulation your project starts with. If you are replacing or extending an existing nozzle field, send the basin dimensions and pump details; the team will map the existing duty against the patterns you want before proposing any hardware.

Nozzle Buying Questions

Can I buy nozzles without a full fountain project?

Yes — equipment-only supply is part of the offer. Share your effect plan or basin layout so the nozzle schedule matches the patterns you intend to run.

Which stainless grade do I need?

Grade follows water type and project requirements; state your water conditions — fresh, brackish or seawater — so the grade is specified correctly. State your water source in the inquiry.

Do nozzles come with the control system?

Fixed nozzles are passive; driven and variable-pattern units integrate with the control scope. The equipment page sets out the full component range.
