Email suits a full project pack — drawings, photographs, dimensions. WhatsApp suits a first conversation. Either way, the reply comes from the team that will run your design review, not from a sales queue.

What to Include in a First Message
- Site location and setting — plaza, lake, mall, resort, waterfront
- Basin, lake or paving dimensions, and water depth where known
- The format you are considering — musical, dancing, dry deck, floating, water screen — or 'not decided'
- The effects you most want: swing fields, a feature jet, flame, a water screen, interactive play
- Your installation pattern: local contractor, or on-site installation in scope
- Target schedule for opening, if one exists
Missing half of that list is normal. Send what you have; the review will name what else needs measuring, and the planning guide on this site walks through the same inputs in order.
How a First Exchange Usually Runs
The first reply asks for whatever your first message lacked — a dimension, a photograph of the site at dusk, the audience plan — and names the format the team would start from and why. If the pack is already complete, the first reply instead confirms the design review is under way and what it will return: a simulated concept, an equipment layout and the engineering basis for a quotation. Either way, you will know after one exchange whether this team's way of working suits your project — which is what a first exchange is for.
Prefer to Start From the Planning Guide?
The musical fountain planning guide turns a vague ambition into a brief: site facts, format decision, effect priorities and the commercial questions to settle in the quotation. Work through it first if your project is still an idea looking for its shape.
