Fountain Installation Service

A fountain is installed twice: once in the ground and once in the program. The installation service covers the first of those — on-site installation by the Aqualume team, or structured guidance for your local contractor — and hands over cleanly to commissioning.

  • Contractor guidance
  • Civil-works coordination

Scope your installation

On this pageInstallation quality is invisible when it is right and permanent when it is wrong: levels, seals and alignments are set here.

Fountain Installation: Scope, Sequence and Standards

The installation scope is agreed per project, in one of two patterns. In the on-site pattern, the Aqualume team installs the fountain system — equipment placement, nozzle and lighting fit-out, control cabinet installation and connection — working alongside your civil contractor's basin, paving or platform. In the guidance pattern, your local contractor installs from the design pack, with Aqualume installation guidance structured around the critical points: setting out, levels, sealing, alignment and the pre-commissioning checks.

Either way, the sequence respects how fountains actually fail. Basin waterproofing and embedded pipework are checked before they are buried. Nozzle levels and alignments are set against the choreography's geometry, not by eye. Electrical and control connections are made as a system, so the commissioning team inherits a fountain that is one machine, not a pile of trades. Your project scope should have the equipment bench-tested as a system before dispatch; installation is where that tested system becomes your site's system.

Working With Your Local Contractor

Most international projects split the work: local teams own civil works — excavation, basin or dry-deck structure, paving — because they own the permits, the plant and the weather. The fountain specialist's job in that split is precision at the interfaces: embedded items placed to drawing, tolerances stated where they matter, and inspection points agreed before cover-up work hides them. Aqualume's installation guidance is written for that reality, and the design pack your project starts with anticipates it.

Decide the pattern early. The installation model changes the design pack, the shipping split and the commissioning plan, and it is far cheaper to choose it in the design stage than to renegotiate it with a basin already dug. State your preference — or your constraints — in the first inquiry and the scope will be built around them.

Readiness: What 'Ready to Install' Actually Means

Installation visits fail on readiness more often than on skill. Ready means: the structure built to the design pack's dimensions and verified, embedded items in place and recorded before cover-up, water and power available at the points the commissioning will need, and access for the equipment as it actually ships — not as the site wishes it shipped. The readiness list in your installation plan is therefore a contract document, checked jointly before the team travels, not a courtesy note.

The maintenance regime belongs to this conversation too, because installation choices echo in it for decades — access panels where hands actually fit, isolation points where systems actually divide. The maintenance checklist on this site is written from the operator's side of those choices; read it before the installation pattern is fixed, and hold the design to it.

Installation Service Questions

Who does the civil works — basin, paving, excavation?

Civil works are normally the client's local contractor, working to the design pack. The fountain system installation sits inside that programme in either the on-site or guidance pattern.

What must be ready before installation starts?

The structure to drawing, embedded services in place, power and water available for testing. The exact readiness list is issued with your project's installation plan.

Is installation quoted with the equipment?

Installation is scoped per project alongside design and commissioning. Confirm the pattern — on-site or guidance — when you request the quotation so the scope is priced as one.
